Vietnamese pastor holds historic crusade after training with Elijah Challenge

Dear Brethren in Christ,
While I was in Malaysia recently, I heard a report about a Vietnamese pastor who held a large open-air Crusade in communist Vietnam on Resurrection Day last April. It was not the first time I had heard about him—when I was teaching in Canada earlier this year, a Vietnamese pastor had shared the same thing with me. Let me tell you why this is of particular interest to me.
The servant of God who conducted this Crusade in Saigon had just last October attended The Elijah Challenge Basic Training held at the Vietnamese Baptist Church in Houston. At the big Crusade he held in communist Vietnam on Resurrection Day, many infirm people were miraculously healed as he ministered to them. Over one thousand souls accepted Christ as Lord and Savior after they heard the gospel and witnessed the miracles! It was indeed historic.
I still do not know the name of his brother. The Lord is raising up nameless believers to do exploits in the spirit and power of Elijah.
Please share my joy by viewing the unusual report and photos at http://www.theelijahchallenge.org/Elijah%20Challengers/Nameless%20Disciples/Nameless%20Disciple%20(1)%20June%202009.htm. The Lord has been so gracious to use us to train such servants of God to minister in such a fruitful way.
Today I leave for Kazakhstan, a Musl__m republic in Central Asia. I was there was last year in July to conduct the Basic Training. (Click here for the report.) We have found that a second exposure to the Basic Training always reinforces and consolidates what people have learned and enables them to launch out effectively to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. I will be back in Houston in one week. Please pray for this work and for the training of these disciples in Kazakhstan.
May the Lord use this group to reach out to the Ms in Central Asia during these last days in fulfillment of the Great Commission.
Lucille will stay home to provide care for my mother. (Beginning in August, we hope that Lucille will begin traveling with me again. May the Lord provide an able person to care for my mother.)
Sincerely in Christ,
William
