Dear Partners in the Great Commission,
Today we have an unusual testimony of the Lord’s power for you, and then an important prayer request to share with you.

The prayer request is for an Indian Reserve in Alberta, Canada where we were last month by invitation of Sister Laurel Stevens and Lifegate Church. As you may recall, we preached the gospel on the Louis Bull Indian Reserve. As a result of what happened, the kingdom of God is now spreading to another Indian Reserve called the Montana Band. There is significant witchcraft on this Reserve opposing the spread of the gospel. Please read Laurel’s report below.
“Things are really picking up in Hobbema plus elsewhere! There are now at Louis Bull Church a Ladies’ Bible Study and a Mens’ Bible Study on Tuesday night, a Bible Study on Thursday night with everybody together, the regular Sunday afternoon service and now the establishing of a church in the Montana Reserve on Sunday night. We are continuing to do healing ministry and deliverance ministry after the Bible studies and on Sunday at Louis Bull Church, and attendance is quite a bit higher, with new people coming. Now we’re doing outreach at the Montana Reserve on Sunday evenings to help establish the new church. There will be another healing service/outreach tomorrow night (May 24th).
Last Sunday (May 17th) at Montana Band two of the Christian men went around the townsite inviting people to come and many were very interested. However, the turn-out was quite small – but people came forward for prayer. One young woman stated that her pain was gone but will check back with us this Sunday as the pain tends to come and go; two other ladies said that they still felt better 2 days later; one lady was challenged to let go of all the old rituals and practices with the spirits as it was discerned that her poor eyesight was directly related to the blindness the demons caused her spiritually. She did not say no – said she needed to think about it because she’d made a promise. I think some others received prayer but I haven’t received reports. On Tuesday night at the Ladies’ Bible Study we did deliverance ministry with a young woman who wanted freedom from addiction to pot.
Marcus and the rest are establishing a beachhead at the Montana townsite! There is a lot of resistance from the Medicine men and women there and that would cause a lot of fear among the people and cause them to not risk coming. We will just continue to do battle as God leads. He is phenomenally bigger than anything any demons can throw at us and that is a tremendous witness to the people who live there. Sunday night the presence of the evil spirits was very strong over the townsite and in the administration building where we were but not in the room where we met. And the new church has now been given official permission to use the Montana Administration Building for their services, for free. Thank you God! How He loves those people.”
Below is William’s reply to Laurel this morning:
Dear Laurel,
Praise the Lord for all the good news you shared! We are encouraged to hear of the new people coming to the Louis Bull Church, the new gatherings, and especially the planting of a new church at Montana. May the Lord’s grace be abundant to His servants who are leading and ministering.
About the resistance Marcus has been encountering at the Montana Band, that is certainly not surprising. But as he perseveres and continues with the Sunday night healing services, over time more and more people will be healed. Word will get out, and eventually there may be a snowball effect. The people are now afraid of retribution and curses from the Medicine men and women so they are reluctant to come to the meetings. But once they hear about the far superior power of the Lord, the fear will gradually go. When the new believers are taught about the authority they have over such demons, they will become bold as a lion and the curses will not be able to touch them.
I have ministered in some of the darkest, witchcraft-infested places on earth, but the witchdoctors have not been able to get to me. Once I was in Benin in West Africa—known as the birthplace of witchcraft in the world. And the particular area where I was holding the meetings was particularly dark even for Benin. But every evening I slept like a baby in my hotel room and the Lord kept me safe and in good health throughout. And please do read about the glorious results of the meetings by clicking here. The Lord can do the same thing through Marcus and his team in the Montana Band!
As Marcus perseveres in ministering and preaching the gospel in the Montana Band with the Lord’s power and authority, the local spirits will eventually get discouraged. The Lord’s presence there will increase, and they will decrease. As more and more people come to the Lord, their power over the area will weaken, and they will leave the area. The Montana Band will be the Lord’s. The key here is persistence and perseverance, and using the authority and power the Lord has entrusted to us.
As the Lord commanded Joshua:
?6? “Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. ?7? Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. ?8? Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. ?9? Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”
So it will be for Marcus and his team on the Montana Reserve!

Dear intercessors, please pray for 1) the Lord’s strength & grace upon Marcus to persevere, and for 2) the Lord’s protection upon him and his team from the curses of the Medicine men as they bring the kingdom of God to the Montana Reserve.
