Terminally-ill woman miraculously healed from total organ failure

Dear Brethren in Christ,

This afternoon and evening we completed the second session of the Basic Training here. I challenged the people to obey the Lord’s mandate to make disciples for Him. I told them that obedience to His commands and the producing of fruit for Him is not optional for a disciple.

John 14:23? Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. ?24? He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

?John15:5? “I am the vine; you are the branches. …6? If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. ?8? This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Luke 3:9 ^?The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”

I told them that the Church has too long been focusing on God’s blessings and benefits for us in this life. It is time, I argued, to consider our heavenly rewards which are based on our works of obedience to Him here on earth. Earthly blessings cannot be compared to our heavenly reward. But this is difficult for many believers to truly understand—especially those who are raised on a steady diet of what God can do for us on earth. Teachings on obedience and holiness—what we should do for God in response to His love for us through Christ—simply do not sell and do not draw the big crowds as do the teachings on being “successful” in this life.

?Revelation 22:12? “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.

At the end of the session we did another practice round of healing the infirm. The Lord was gracious to confirm His teaching through various testimonies from people who had been healed or touched. One woman who had two lumps on each side of her neck could no longer find the lumps. The disciples have been challenged. May they now obey His commands.

Tomorrow afternoon and evening (Friday) we have one more Training session. Saturday afternoon there will be a service where the lost will hear the gospel and the infirm healed.
