Prayer Request for Hurricane Ike, Houston, Texas
Houston, Texas
Tuesday, September 9, 2008
Dear Brethren in Christ,
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray fervently for the Lord’s mercy on Texas and Houston with the approach of Hurricane Ike. This storm is now devastating Cuba on its way into the Gulf of Mexico heading in the general direction of Texas. If you look at the attached map, you can see the white cone representing the projected path of the hurricane in the Gulf. The city of Houston is located in the oval at the southeastern coast of TX (Texas).
After you pray, then rebuke the storm in the name of Jesus Christ with uncompromising authority and without doubt. In Scripture Jesus rebuked a furious storm that was threatening his disciples on the Lake of Galilee.
Matthew 8:23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
In John 14:12, Jesus taught that His disciples would do the works that He did: “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing.”
We have heard of such miracles and have even witnessed them happening personally on different occasions.
Let us come together corporately and rebuke Ike in the name of Jesus Christ, the One who has all authority in heaven and on earth. Command it not to come to Texas, but to remain in the Gulf of Mexico. We will witness the power of the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for interceding for us, dear ones.
Sincerely in Christ,
William

Houston Free Press Says:
To my brother in Christ William,
Thanks for your initiative, concern and brotherly love. As we take heed and prepare according to the media, and city/state officials, I hope it does not diminish our faith and trust in God. It is times like these that situations occur that reflect just how much faith you really have. Its a self measured opportunity that only you can determine how much you trust the word of God. If you don’t have the faith or can’t trust him during Ike, how can you expect to have faith in anything you need that only he can provide. Grab the Word, Hold On and Pray that God’s protection never fails, and that he has the power to direct, and calm the most violent storms. Keep the Faith……..
