Praise report from Subodh in Orissa, India!

Dear Precious Partners in the Great Commission,
We just heard back from our brother Subodh in Orissa who has just returned home after proclaiming the kingdom of God to the Kui-Soura tribal people in the mountains. If you will recall, these people originate from the same tribe that spawned the Hindu fundamentalists who were the primary persecutors of the Christians last fall in Orissa.
(For those of you who are not familiar with Brother Subodh, he hosted and trained under The Elijah Challenge in Orissa in April 2003 and again in October 2007.)
His preliminary report is below. The complete report along with photos will be available with the March issue of our newsletter, The Elijah Challenge Herald. We will send it to you later this week.
Do rejoice with us in the harvest which has been reaped from this tribe for our Lord Jesus Christ! Thank you for partnering with us, dear brethren in Christ.
Next week William leaves to conduct the Basic Training in New York.

Dear Pastor,
Greetings to you in the sweet name of our Lord Jesus.
Thank you very much for praying with much burden, supporting and giving more important to our small work in Orissa.
From the beginning we faced so many obstacles but the words “please pray that nothing will stop Subodh from fulfilling this opportunity…” confirmed to me that nothing will hinder our ministry.
The Lord was so good and faithful to us.
Let me tell you the obstacles which were ahead of me.
1. I was needed of the finance help in my trip. I was bit tense. And at the last moment I informed you and received the help in a very quick. How grateful we are to you. Thank you so much.
2. Second was, the Maoist group killed the leader of the RSS Hindu fundamentalists. Many of our relatives and other brothers and sisters called us and said that do not go to that place because in every districts the roads are closed. We prayed and left our home. Praise God nothing happened to us on the way.
3. There was heavy rain for two days from that day onwards. Even the surrounding areas of Nundrum had rain but praise God not one drop of water fell on the ground [in our meetings]. People were little bit bothered. But nothing stopped the work of God.
This is the first time in my life I could able to minister to such a great multitude. Also this is the first time I could experience the heavy anointing in my life during the evangelistic meeting. There were three thousand people gathered.
There were thousands of people who accepted the Lord for the first time in their life, both Christians and non-Christians. The anointing of the Holy Spirit was so powerful on every one of them. I saw how people were confessing their sins with tears.
The Lord’s healing touch came to every one of the infirm people. So many people were miraculously healed.
Drunkards came and testified and so many people were receiving the Lord Jesus Christ with repenting from their sins and accepting the Lord in their life. Many of the youngest came forward and testifying that we won’t do the government job, instead we will serve the Lord.
Yes, God is so good and His work is so wonderful.
There were people from eighteen villages who participated in the evangelistic meeting. They eagerly us. And those two days were memorable days for them. The farewell was so painful for them and us too, we cried. Those innocents did not even want to leave us. As we left, for half a kilometer they formed a procession with band party.
Also, God did the mighty miracle on the way to Nundrum.
