Dear Friends and Intercessors,

The Lord was gracious to confirm the gospel at our final meeting here in Penang Christian Centre. I had shared what Jesus had said about himself.

John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26 and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.”
I also shared from Luke 13 where Jesus spoke these chilling words to people who attended his meetingsw:

22 Then Jesus went through the towns and villages, teaching as he made his way to Jerusalem. ?23? Someone asked him, “Lord, are only a few people going to be saved?” He said to them, ?24? “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to. ?25? Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’ “But he will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’ 26? “Then you will say, ‘We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.’ ?27? “But he will reply, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!’

I explained that it is not enough for us to go to church and be in the Lord’s presence and to listen to His teaching. Believing in Jesus Christ is far more than that. Many church-goers and “Christians” will try to enter through the narrow door—Jesus Christ—and will not be able to. Therefore we are to make every effort to enter.

To confirm the Lord’s words, we asked Him to heal the infirm at the meeting through the trained disciples. After prayer, they laid hands on the infirm, and many testified that the Lord had healed them. Several Chinese-speaking elderly people testified that the Lord had restored their sight. The Lord had graciously confirmed His words through the many miraculous healings.

Afterwards, I challenged the people to obey the Lord’s commands, not simply to “believe” on Him without the evidence of fruit in their lives. Everyone understood.

Thank you for partnering with us in intercessory prayer, dear ones! The Lord answered prayer and was most gracious this morning.

Tomorrow I leave for Kuala Lumpur (the capital of Malaysia) and another venue for the Basic Training.

I have received a wonderful report from our Africa Coordinator in Nigeria, Emmanuel Abdullahi Rhema which I’d like to share with you below. He recently ministered in 40 villages over three months.

“The Lord laid on my heart so strongly to reach these 40 villages with the Elijah Challenge Training. He Himself provided the funds for me to embark on the journey without any invitation or handbills. I went to the first village, mobilizing the churches and the Training started. People came in numbers for the three days. The result was dramatic.

From there I went to other villages which include Okpara, Orogun, Oghara, Mosogar, Jesse, Ogwangbe, Obotebe, Burutu, Orhuworhun, Alaja and others in Delta State and also Uromi, Ubiaja, Ekpoma, Okpella, Annegbette, Effeku, Sabon-gida Ora, Naifo, Oghanebode, and other villages in Edo State.

The attendance was encouraging. We recorded about 3000 people trained in all the Training events. The trained believers were astonished as they saw the Lord using them to heal the sick. Some of the infirmities healed instantly during the Training include partial blindness, multiple total deafness, stroke, asthma, spinal cord injury, migraine headache, kidney problem, etc.

Every day of the meetings the number of the participants increased. I was told yesterday that the believers have made healing the sick their “hobby” as they go about healing anyone who comes across them who is sick. I believe we shall enter other village with the Training very soon.

Other Elijah Challenge Coordinators trained by you are doing well in their ministries. The Lord has increased them numerically as they put what they learned in the Elijah Challenge Training to work.”

Praise the Lord for His wonderful grace at work through Brother Emmanuel!

Sincerely in Christ,

William in Malaysia & Lucille in Houston
