The Sealed

Our Basic Training in Kazakhstan has been completed, and now William is on his way back to Houston.

At the Evangelistic Healing Service on Saturday evening, the Lord was gracious to enable me to share the gospel clearly from Mark 2. Afterwards, the trained disciples laid hands on the infirm, followed by the testimonies of those who were healed. Hearing the testimonies, people put their faith in Jesus Christ.

Spring of Life Fellowship, which also hosted the Basic Training a year ago, is now ready to take the power of the gospel to the Musl__m Kazaks of the city. We have discovered that it usually takes two exposures to the ‘Training before disciples are able to take what they have learned to the lost world outside the “box” of the church and of their family and friends.

In Kazak culture, people customarily drop by at the homes of friends and neighbors for leisurely visits. One leader told me that healing the sick for the sake of the gospel will be a natural part of such visits now that they can do so confidently. One elderly woman who was trained last year testified that the Lord has used her to heal various people, including one who had been suffering from cancer.

They are also considering renting a place at a huge Bazaar in Almaty where they will offer “FREE HEALING.”

Please pray that the boldness of the Holy Spirit will be upon them to launch out in these ways with the gospel of Isa Almasih, who is Jesus Christ in the Arabic language. I have been invited to return to Kazakhstan later this year or next year to train the disciples in the poorer, more spiritually-dark city of Karaghandi.
