Dear Intercessors,
This morning and early afternoon trained disciples from Penang Christian Center went to a low-income community to visit some of the homes. Some of them had opportunities to minister to infirm people in those homes. The Lord was gracious to use them. At our final Training session earlier this afternoon, several of the disciples came to the front to testify how the Lord had used them to heal the sick to bring glory to Him.
What is significant is that in the past such healings almost always took place in a church at healing services where well-known evangelists were invited to minister to the sick one by one. The lost must be invited and brought by a church member to the meeting. Such an approach has proven to be ineffective in fulfilling the Great Commission. Now the Lord has provided a new model which is in accordance with Scripture. Trained disciples are sent to the homes of the lost and heal the sick there as part of the proclamation of the kingdom of God (Luke 10). This new model will be far more effective than the former one and involves an army of nameless disciples reaching the lost in their own homes.
The disciples were greatly encouraged at how the Lord had used them on the enemy’s own territory. Their confidence has grown, and they will continue to go out in this way.
Thank you for interceding, dear ones!
We have one more meeting tomorrow morning on Sunday. It will be an evangelistic healing service where the trained disciples will heal the sick to demonstrate that Jesus is in fact the Son of God and the only Savior from sin and death. Please pray that the Lord will perform multiplied miraculous healings through his disciples and thus bring souls into the kingdom of God.
Sincerely in Christ,
William
