Dear Partners in the Great Commission,
A most blessed Christmas season be to you and your loved ones!
With thankfulness to the Lord we would like to announce the formation of a partnership between The Elijah Challenge and Grace Point Community Church in Houston. The ultimate purpose of this partnership will be to equip the body of Christ in Houston with The Elijah Challenge through a Training Center to be established at Grace Point. Initially we will function as a “coach” for the Grace Point congregation in order for The Elijah Challenge Training to be incorporated effectively into the everyday life of the believers as witnesses of the Christ. In such a way, Grace Point can be become a fully-functioning model for other churches which the Elijah Challenge will be training in the future for the purpose of evangelism and soul-winning. Later on at some point, we will begin periodic and regular Training for the body of Christ in Houston at this Training Center.
Thank you for praying, dear ones. The Lord is beginning to bring to pass a vision He has given us.
Our vision is Elijah Challenge Training Centers in different cities around the world established in cooperation with local churches where regional churches and believers can be equipped with The Elijah Challenge. So far we already have two Training Centers—in India and in Houston. May the Lord multiply these Training Centers as well as Elijah Challenge Trainers who will be teaching at these Centers!
As you may recall, two weekends ago we held the Basic Training at Grace Point. On Sunday last weekend, Pastor Don asked his congregation who had dared to apply during the week what had been taught at the Training. About thirty hands went up. He asked for three testimonies. One testimony was given by two sisters. After the Training, these two daring sisters visited a very sick man in the hospital who had been scheduled for by-pass surgery for his severe heart condition. He had been hooked up to all kinds of machines. After they laid hands on him and ministered to him in Jesus’ name, all his vital signs as measured by the various machines were normal. No longer needing surgery, he was discharged from the hospital! (We have asked for more details about this incident.) God is good.
We do have a very important prayer request for you…
Over five years ago in July 2003 we ministered at an historic Crusade in Vietnam (click on the link to view the YouTube video) where according to one Vietnamese leader the Lord performed miraculous healings not seen in Vietnam for forty years since Evangelist T. L. Osborn was there in the 1960s. Our interpreter at that Crusade was a young Seminary student named David Quach. Well, we just received an email from David. God has raised up our little brother David like an Elisha and is using him very powerfully in healing the sick. This Christmas evening, young David will be preaching at an Evangelistic Healing Crusade in Saigon where an estimated one thousand people, including Buddhists and other lost souls, will be in attendance!
Brethren, please pray fervently that the Lord will use David on Christmas evening just as He graciously used us on that glorious day five years ago in Vietnam; that many great miraculous healings will result a great harvest of lost souls for Christ Jesus.
