Dear Brethren in Christ,

This Sunday, October 19 we will be conducting the Basic Training at Vietnamese Baptist Church in Houston. Participants—many Vietnamese servants of God—will be coming from different nations around the world. The Training will begin at 9 AM and will extend through the afternoon. The Elijah Challenge has had a longstanding and fruitful relationship with Pastor Khanh Huynh and the Vietnamese Baptist Church (VBC). Twice in the early 2000s we trained their believers. Then we started a “Healing Outreach” at Hong Kong City Mall in Houston’s Chinatown, and trained believers from VBC joined us. People were healed in the Mall as the believers laid hands on them in the name of Jesus Christ. Precious souls were drawn to the Lord. That was years ago. According to one report, today about one hundred souls are accepting Christ every Saturday at this Outreach now operated by VBC. It is now considered the fastest-growing Vietnamese Church in North America.

In July 2003 the Lord graciously allowed us to minister at a Training & Evangelistic Event in Vietnam which one Vietnamese pastor called “a turning point in the history of Christianity in Vietnam.”

Now we have been given the opportunity to train many more Vietnamese servants of God from around the world. Please intercede to the Lord for the Training this Sunday. It will begin at 9 AM in the morning. May the Lord use us to raise up a generation of Vietnamese servants of God who minister in the spirit and power of Elijah.
