Elijah Challenge In New Delhi, India
New Delhi, India
Friday Evening, July 4, 2008
Dear Partners in the Great Commission,
I have completed my first day of training here with 28 servants of God. Some of these are being trained as Elijah Challenge Coordinators for India.
Here in India I sense the Training and impartation is at a different level. Here the darkness is so great from both Hinduism and Islam that the grace of God abounds all the more. I sense a greater boldness and confidence in training the servants of God, and sense strongly that they are getting it and will run with it to do mighty exploits for the kingdom of God. The demonstration of healing in the afternoon saw people healed almost effortlessly as hands were laid on those with infirmities. The Lord’s grace was evident.
Today I met two evangelical pastors who had been trained on my past trips to India—one trip was to Dehra Dun in 2006 and the other to Meerut in 2007. Both of them enthusiastically shared how their ministries had changed greatly after being trained with The Elijah Challenge. One in particular shared how a fellowship he was leading had mushroomed with the influx of Hindus who had been healed of infirmities when he laid hands on them. So much can be done for the Kingdom of God in India if only we had the resources to train the servants of God here. Perhaps we should begin sending to India servants of God who have already been trained to teach The Elijah Challenge. The harvest can be great when the Indian servants of God are properly equipped.
It is summer here in Delhi, and it is hot. The building where the Training is held is not air conditioned. Please pray that the Lord will grant me physical stamina to endure the heat as well as His anointing and wisdom to teach His servants. It can be a bit oppressive at times.
