Dear Intercessors,

Praise the Lord—our electricity has been restored. Thank you for praying for us. The Lord is gracious and merciful.

Our local authorities had informed us that it could takes weeks for the power to be restored to the city. We were without power for only about 20 hours. We are grateful and relieved. We have also learned how dependent on electricity we have become in this modern age.

There are still many people in the greater Houston area without power and who face the prospect of having to repair damage to their homes or even worse. May the Lord grant them much grace and strength in the days ahead.

Thank you for praying for us, dear brethren.

By the grace and mercy of our Lord, we and our home are doing very well after Hurricane Ike swept through our city last night. Other parts of the city did suffer from damage from wind and water. Read the rest of this entry »
