Dear Brethren in Christ,
We have returned to Houston from lovely San Diego where we helped our daughter Esther settle down to begin a new chapter in her life in the Lord. Indeed it is a most beautiful city. We pray the Lord will bless her there just as He blessed Jacob when he left his father Isaac to settle down in Padan Aram with his uncle.
Yesterday the August 2008 issue of The Elijah Challenge Herald was sent out to our email subscribers, and we hope that you received it. The main thrust of the issue had to do with the advance of Islam in America, and how we can combat it. For that purpose we will be holding a special Basic Training to Reach Musl_ms in America in Houston from October 3 to 5. Please pray that many will have the burden to join us to be trained. It is not enough simply to pray and then to sit back and wait for God to do it. We have to go into the trenches and engage the enemy. We have to heal the sick, we have to preach the gospel to them as Jesus commands us. The spiritual Goliath of Islam in America will be defeated only when “Davids” rise up in holy anger, boldness, and power to engage him. This is what we must do in addition to prayer.

Oh, we just received a wonderful report from West Africa, and would like to share it with you…
Way back in January 2002, William held a Training event in the country of Togo with a local evangelist named Brother Nadjombe. The report on that event over six years ago can be viewed at Togo Training Event. Today we received a very brief but exciting message from Brother Nadjombe...
“Brother Bill, may the Lord be with you always. In Togo, West Africa, we have reached 263 villages with the gospel by His grace. God bless.”
