Dear Friends and Partners,
Last Saturday our daughter Sarah was married to Nick Chu, a God son of pastors, in the city of Austin about two and a half hours from Houston. The Lord was gracious and we were very blessed. Sarah and Nick are now honeymooning at Disney World. We are very proud of them.
We would like to share with you an exciting testimony from Pastor Albert Kang, Elijah Challenge Coordinator for Asia who is based in Malaysia. He recently spent a few weeks at Haggai Institute in Hawaii. His testimony involves a woman of the Musl___m religion which in his testimony he refers to discreetly as the “Majority faith.” The woman who was healed is originally from Indonesia and is now working in Malaysia. This militant, fundamentalist religion is now threatening the United States, but there is Read The Full Story…

Malachi 4:5 ?“See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.

Speaking to God’s people the Israelites, the Old Testament prophet Malachi spoke of the day of their Messiah’s Coming as great and dreadful. While what these words actually encompass might not be entirely clear to us, the term dreadful does not inspire comfort and confidence for God’s people today on the eve of the Messiah’s Second Coming. Certainly Malachi’s description of the Day of the Lord applies to both his First Coming and even more especially, his Second Coming. Read The Full Story…

Dear Friends and Supporters,
Our Basic Training in Kazakhstan has been completed, and now William is on his way back to Houston.
At the Evangelistic Healing Service on Saturday evening, the Lord was gracious to enable me to share the gospel clearly from Mark 2. Afterwards, the trained disciples laid hands on the infirm, followed by the testimonies of those who were healed. Hearing the testimonies, people put their faith in Jesus Christ. Dear Friends in Christ,
I just received a wonderful report from Brazil. Last January I was there to train 400 disciples of the Lord for what they called “Visitation of God” in which the disciples were sent out to the heavily-Catholic town to visit 6,000 homes praying for the needs of the lost and healing their sick. Hundreds upon hundreds of infirm people were healed in their homes. Please click here to read about this historic outreach. Just this morning I received an email informing me that another Visitation of God is now in progress in another town called Astorga and many miraculous healings have taken place in the same fashion in the homes of the lost. The disciples in this current Visitation were trained by the leaders I trained last January. I sense the end time equipping of the body of Christ with the spirit and power of Elijah has begun. What a privilege it is for us to have a part in the beginning of this! Read The Full Story…

Dear Brethren in Christ,

This afternoon and evening we completed the second session of the Basic Training here. I challenged the people to obey the Lord’s mandate to make disciples for Him. I told them that obedience to His commands and the producing of fruit for Him is not optional for a disciple.

John 14:23? Jesus replied, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. ?24? He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me. Read The Full Story…

Dear Friends and Partners in the Great Commission,
Very early this morning I arrived here in Kazakhstan, and in the afternoon began the Basic Training for the assembled disciples from various churches and groups. The Kazak people, who to me look like a beautiful blend of East and West, are Musl__m by culture. They identify Christianity with the Russian orthodox church, the hated religion of their former Russian conquerors and occupiers. But the good news is that their brand of Islam is western and liberalized. Read The Full Story…

Dear Brethren in Christ,

While I was in Malaysia recently, I heard a report about a Vietnamese pastor who held a large open-air Crusade in communist Vietnam on Resurrection Day last April. It was not the first time I had heard about him—when I was teaching in Canada earlier this year, a Vietnamese pastor had shared the same thing with me. Let me tell you why this is of particular interest to me. Read The Full Story…

Dear Partners in the Great Commission,
A formal report on the Advanced Training event in Cheras (Kuala Lumpur) last week, along with plenty of photos of the people who testified of the Lord’s healing grace, has been posted online. Please click on http://www.theelijahchallenge.org/Reports/Southeast%20Asia/Malaysia/Cheras%20June%202009.htm to view it. Thank you for praying and making the event so fruitful, dear partners. Dear Friends & Partners in the Great Commission,

I have returned home safely to Houston. Thanks be to our Lord for His wonderful grace throughout this month-long trip to Malaysia and Indonesia!

Some wonderful news for you from Indonesia—with the largest Musl__m population of any nation on earth…

In February 2007 over two years ago, we held a one-day Basic Training event for pastors in Indonesia at a town called Ungaran in West Java. Following that Training event I did not receive any news from them at all until just earlier this month. This is what they told me. They had not forgotten what they had learned from The Elijah Challenge. (Click here for the report on that Training event.) What we planted 28 months ago has just now borne fruit. Dear Partners in the Great Commission,
The final Evangelistic Healing Rally here last night was short and sweet. After the message proclaiming Christ’s authority to heal and to forgive sin from Isaiah 53, over one hundred trained disciples went to work healing the sick and casting out demons. Very soon people who had been healed went up to the platform to give glory to the Lord. It was exciting to behold. The Lord’s grace was evident. Read The Full Story…
