Yesterday when the 400 disciples went door-to-door in the community, the Lord continued to use them to pray for the people’s needs and to heal the infirm. Many hands were raised when I asked them at this morning’s training session who had healed the sick in the name of Jesus in accordance with Jesus’ command in Luke 10:9. Dear Precious Saints of the Kingdom,

This morning as I entered the packed auditorium for the second day of training, the disciples were already on the stage testifying excitedly of what the Lord had done through them yesterday afternoon when they went from home to home in the town proclaiming the kingdom of God. I was very encouraged. People had been healed in their homes and repented of their sins, putting their faith in Jesus Christ.

After I went up to the stage to teach the 400 disciples, I asked how many of them had actually healed the sick as they went from door to door. A sea of hands went up! Dear Partners in the Great Commission,

This morning I put approximately 400 trainees through the initial session of boot camp. I have never before seen such a large group of on fire, sold-out disciples under one roof. They had come together from various cities under the covering of Pastor Jonathan Ferreira, an elder statesman with apostolic authority in Brazil. The spiritual atmosphere was highly charged with these believers chomping at the bit like racehorses at the starting gate. All they need is to be taught about their weapon—the authority Christ gives to His disciples to heal the sick—and exactly how to use it to perform miracles of healing to demonstrate to the lost that the kingdom is near. Dear Prayer Partners,

Upon my arrival here earlier today, I was told that Santa Cruz has a history of hostility towards the evangelical gospel of Jesus Christ. Historically, the Catholic Church forbids its people to read the Bible, a privilege set aside only for the priests. Over the years since it was officially founded 139 years ago, Santa Cruz has witnessed public Bible burnings by Catholic priests. On one occasion the Bibles were given to the people by an evangelical missionary.

This week a group of 400 disciples have gathered here from different cities and states of Brazil under the leadership of Pastor Jonathan Ferreira, founder of the ministry “Valley of Blessing.” Read The Full Story…

Our Training in Osasco has ended and I am now in Santa Cruz, a three and a half hour drive west from Osasco in the state of Sao Paulo.

The evangelistic healing service last night was quite exciting as the trained believers healed the sick to demonstrate that Jesus Christ is indeed the only way to the Father. We did this in accordance with John 14.11-12. Read The Full Story…

Dear Intercessors,

Tonight’s evangelistic healing service witnessed the Lord moving powerfully to heal through His newly-trained believers. Several people testified that God had healed them. Few of the testimonies were translated into English for me. But one middle-aged woman who had been deaf in one ear since she was eleven years old testified that the Lord had opened up that ear and she could hear. Another woman came up with bifocal eyeglasses that were somewhat thick. She waved them in the air and said that she didn’t need them anymore because the Lord had restored her eyesight! Last night I taught the first session of the Basic Training in a local church here. Those who came did not appear to know what the Training is about. I look at it as “boot camp” for Special Forces of the Kingdom of God. But I was given only one hour to teach, and I was told that the people who would be coming on subsequent days of the Training would likely be different people. Years ago a young student named David Quach translated for me in the historic 2003 Vietnam Crusade in Saigon as well as later in Elijah Challenge events in California where he attended Seminary. On Christmas Day 2008 David, now a pastor and leader in Vietnam, held a Crusade in Saigon.
