Dear Partners in the Great Commission,
Peace and grace abound to you in Christ Jesus.
We are slowly overcoming our jetlag and this evening we will begin the Basic Training here. Our host is the Cheras Pastors Fellowship, a group of pastors representing 21 churches in Cheras. As of yesterday a total of about 500 people had registered for the English-speaking Training as well as the Chinese-speaking Training. We are very thankful to the Lord for this opportunity! Dear Brethren in Christ and Prayer Partners,
We have arrived safely here in Malaysia after a total of over 20 hours in the air from Houston. We thank the Lord for a safe flight!
Lucille has a fever after the exhausting journey and is now in bed. We believe the Lord will refresh her as she sleeps and will wake up well tomorrow morning.
As far as we know, our formal meetings will begin Thursday evening with the Basic Training for the Cheras churches. We have heard that hundreds have already registered.
We are thankful that we have over two full days to rest before we begin!
Please cover in prayer our family at home—our elderly parents and our three daughters Esther, Sarah, and Christina. May the Lord’s peace and protection be upon them as we equip His servants here halfway around the world. May the enemy not be permitted to cause trials at home when we are away on the Lord’s business.
